A few months ago I was reading some comments about the government of a country, which stated that governments had to act as directors of a company. It might even agree ... with a few many 'covenants'!.

First, we must consider the special consideration of what is a country without entering into political-economic bluntly, a country does not belong to a few partners or participants with certain objectives in the short, medium and long term, which may require where managers have delegated the management of the company, compliance with these (eye to conduct capital , as well). Moreover, if we were able to determine that a country belongs to someone, we assume that we are in democracy, that group could not be far from universal represented by any group of individuals present: what about future generations?.

Second, although again we talked about goals, as the owners of a country are infinitely many (¡!), the concept of sustainable development become a hyperbole, it being necessary to reach their maximum impact, the problem in this case reside in how the structure of the objectives defined between the large blocks Economic, Social, and Environmental that make this sustainable development, in addition to targeting generations (present, future, future generations).

However, despite these considerations, the problem remains the same whether we consider a company as if we consider one country: the selection of a team, and monitoring and control of it. In addition, a company hardly find a 'shadow government' (as the opposition called the Anglo-Saxon world) to act as an additional measure of control. Moreover, the conduct acts both capital equipment and business leaders, as in one country (the eye, both at government and opposition, things of representative democracy). Therefore, there is no other position than to the owners of this company ..., sorry, country, to be able to self-manage, capable of delegating appropriate, able to understand that they own and therefore have their rights and obligations, and capable of directing its course.

Do you see parallels with a cooperative, rather than use a commercial company, will it be that I am biased in my perceptions?, Could be managed by values in a country as is done in a cooperative entity?.
