In one of the last classes taught on Strategic Management at the University of Valencia, in which a student was surprised to hear the term ' outsourcing 'has reminded me that my debt to Pau Montserrat has not yet been settled.
Returning to the European outsourcing report prepared by Ernst & Young , in a second round, the organizations outsource activities that would be more strongly linked to human resource departments and administrative and financial (between 50 and 60% of respondents .)
However, our thinking away from concepts that are actually outsourced, HR departments tend to outsource the management of payroll, and in some cases the processes of recruitment and selection , while in the finance departments will be the accounting processes and the outsourced document management. Can we learn from the big industrial companies have decided to take the step of outsourcing tactical / traditional (short-term and based almost exclusively on economic grounds) to strategic outsourcing (takes full advantage of alliances )?, can take advantage the maximum attainable competitive advantages of the externalization of the processes associated with HR and finance?. We think so, though with slight differences will discuss in the next (and last) entry on 'what is outsourced. "
