No, unfortunately we are not offering a recipe on how to perform the selection process (normative approach), but actually trying to analyze how companies recruit, from the data for the year 2007 of the Labor Situation Survey (Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, now Ministry of Labour and Immigration).

los datos agregados de la encuesta, sin considerar el tamaño de la empresa contratante, obtenemos los siguientes resultados, ordenados de mayor a menor frecuencia de uso: Focusing on the previous entry in the aggregated data of the survey, regardless of the size of the contracting company, we get the following results, sorted from highest to lowest frequency of use:

    • Direct requests (21.0%).
    • Ads (20.5%).
    • Personal relationships (18.1%).
    • Public Employment Services (14.2%).
    • Internal promotion (10.0%).
    • Labour exchanges (6.3%).
    • Companies selection (5.4%).
    • ETT's (4.6%).

Then a first approximation to the data shows that recruitment methods tend to follow the self-managed recruitment policies (almost 70% of businesses get their candidates without recourse to a third party), while opening the possibilities for agencies external recruitment, employment office ( National Employment System ) remains the most used. The channel is the most widely used direct requests, which could be considered a passive way of collecting.
